- SEVEN PSALMS OF DELIVERANCE - R. S. CHAVES
1 Behold,
Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; neither his ear
heavy, that it can't hear: (Is 59:1)
5 "When you pray, you
shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in
the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be
seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their
reward.
6 But you, when
you
pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to
your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will
reward you openly.
7 In praying, don't
use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they
will be
heard for their much speaking.
8 Therefore don't be
like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask
him.
9 Pray like this: 'Our
Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10 Let your Kingdom
come. Let your will be
done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11 Give us today our
daily bread.
12 Forgive us our
debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bring us not into
temptation, but
deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the
Kingdom, the power, and the glory
forever. Amen.' (Mt 6:5-13)
If
you are experiencing any kind of trouble; make a prayer to God
for
deliverance and read these seven psalms in favor of your
problem. God hears every
prayer addressed to him.
Psalm 23
1 Yahweh is
my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green
pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul.
He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they
comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.
6
Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of
my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh's house forever. A Psalm by
David.
Psalm
30
1 I will extol
you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes
to rejoice over me.
2 Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you
have healed me.
3 Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol.
You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4
Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy
name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a
lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the
morning.
6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never
be moved."
7 You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my
mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was
troubled.
8 I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made
supplication:
9 "What profit is there in my destruction, if I
go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare
your truth?
10 Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my
helper."
11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me.
You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,
12
To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent.
Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever! For the Chief
Musician.
A Psalm by David.
Psalm 121
1 I will lift up
my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
2 My help
comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow
your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4
Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5
Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
6
The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Yahweh
will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8 Yahweh will
keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth,
and forevermore.
A Song of Ascents. By David.
Psalm
125
1 Those who trust
in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can't be moved, but
remains
forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so
Yahweh surrounds his people from this
time forth and
forevermore.
3 For the scepter of wickedness won't remain over the
allotment of the righteous;
so that the righteous won't use their
hands to do evil.
4 Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to
those who are upright in their hearts.
5 But as for those who turn
aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them
away with the
workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel. A Song of Ascents.
Psalm
126
1 When Yahweh
brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those
who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our
tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "Yahweh
has done great things for them."
3 Yahweh has done great
things for us, and we are glad.
4 Restore our fortunes again,
Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow in tears
will reap in joy.
6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for
sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.
A Song of Ascents. By Solomon.
Psalm 127
1 Unless Yahweh
builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless
Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.
2
It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the
bread of toil; for he
gives sleep to his loved ones.
3 Behold,
children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his
reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the
children of youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of
them. They won't be disappointed
when they speak with their
enemies in the gate. A Song of Ascents.
Psalm
91
1 He who dwells in
the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of
the Almighty.
2 I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and
my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
3 For he will deliver
you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly
pestilence.
4
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take
refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
5 You
shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that
flies by day;
6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor
of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may
fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it
will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes,
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made
Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10
no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your
dwelling.
11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard
you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands, so
that you won't dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will
tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and
the serpent underfoot.
14 "Because he has set his love on
me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because
he has known my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer
him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor
him.
16 I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my
salvation." A Psalm.
A song for the Sabbath day.
If
you get a chance, go to an evangelical church and seek God, open your
heart to him. Jesus never denied a request to anyone while he lived
among us. He is risen and alive, co-reigning at the right hand of the
Father; Be humble, recognize that you need his help.
May God
enlighten you and open your mind. Amen
