7 - SEVEN PSALMS OF DELIVERANCE - R. S. CHAVES

7 - SEVEN PSALMS OF DELIVERANCE - R. S. CHAVES

1 Behold, Yahweh's hand is not shortened, that it can't save; neither his ear heavy, that it can't hear: (Is 59:1)
5 "When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
6 But you, when
you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
7 In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be
heard for their much speaking.
8 Therefore don't be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.
9 Pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be
done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 Bring us not into temptation, but
deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory
forever. Amen.' (Mt 6:5-13)

If you are experiencing any kind of trouble; make a prayer to God for
deliverance and read these seven psalms in favor of your problem. God hears every
prayer addressed to him.

Psalm 23

1 Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh's house forever. A Psalm by David.

Psalm 30

1 I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.
3 Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his. Give thanks to his holy name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
6 As for me, I said in my prosperity, "I shall never be moved."
7 You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled.
8 I cried to you, Yahweh. To Yahweh I made supplication:
9 "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?
10 Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me. Yahweh, be my helper."
11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,
12 To the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever! For the Chief Musician.

A Psalm by David.

Psalm 121

1 I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
8 Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore.

A Song of Ascents. By David.

Psalm 125

1 Those who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can't be moved, but remains
forever.
2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this
time forth and forevermore.
3 For the scepter of wickedness won't remain over the allotment of the righteous;
so that the righteous won't use their hands to do evil.
4 Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.
5 But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them
away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel. A Song of Ascents.
Psalm 126

1 When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "Yahweh has done great things for them."
3 Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.
4 Restore our fortunes again, Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.
6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed for sowing, will certainly come again with joy, carrying his sheaves.

A Song of Ascents. By Solomon.

Psalm 127

1 Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he
gives sleep to his loved ones.
3 Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.
5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won't be disappointed
when they speak with their enemies in the gate. A Song of Ascents.
Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly
pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
10 no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
11 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
14 "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
16 I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation." A Psalm.

A song for the Sabbath day.

If you get a chance, go to an evangelical church and seek God, open your heart to him. Jesus never denied a request to anyone while he lived among us. He is risen and alive, co-reigning at the right hand of the Father; Be humble, recognize that you need his help.
May God enlighten you and open your mind. Amen

Psalms 1 to 7

Psalms 1 to 7

PSALM 1

BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he
meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind
driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners
in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the
ungodly shall perish.

PSALM 2

WHY do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel
together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from
us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them
in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his
sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my
Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,
and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in
pieces like a potter’s vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the
earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when
his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their
trust in him.

PSALM 3

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.
LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that
rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in
God. Selah.
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up
of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his
holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set
themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine
enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the
ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy
people. Selah.

PSALM 4

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm of David.
HEAR me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast
enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear
my prayer.
2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how
long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for
himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon
your bed, and be still. Selah.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the
LORD.
6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift
thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their
corn and their wine increased.
8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only
makest me dwell in safety.

PSALM 5

To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.
GIVE ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto
thee will I pray.
3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning
will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither
shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of
iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor
the bloody and deceitful man.
7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy
mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies;
make thy way straight before my face.
9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very
wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their
tongue.
10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels;
cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have
rebelled against thee.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever
shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love
thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou
compass him as with a shield.

PSALM 6

To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.
O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot
displeasure.
2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me;
for my bones are vexed.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies’
sake.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who
shall give thee thanks?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim;
I water my couch with my tears.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all
mine enemies.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath
heard the voice of my weeping.
9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my
prayer.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return
and be ashamed suddenly.

PSALM 7

Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the
Benjamite.
O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them
that persecute me, and deliver me:
2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is
none to deliver.
3 O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my
hands;
4 If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I
have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread
down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
6 Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of
mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast
commanded.
7 So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for
their sakes therefore return thou on high.
8 The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to
my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
9 Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish
the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. PSALMS
10 My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked
every day.
12 If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and
made it ready.
13 He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he
ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
14 Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief,
and brought forth falsehood.
15 He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he
made.
16 His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent
dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
17 I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will
sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
